From The Mud Puddle

Around 6:30 this morning, the school buses went around our neighborhood, picking up random children standing by the curb. Again, I was oh so glad that my kids were not out there! My kids were safely tucked inside their beds sound asleep. (why exactly IS school starting on a Friday here anyway?)
We actually started our schooling again on Monday. Fortunately, we do not have to wake up so very early to school. We go at our own pace. Ahh, yet another benefit of homeschooling.
Also, there are two times of the year I have now noted that are not good times to buy a hairdryer. One is right after Christmas. The other time is in August when kids are going back to school. Unfortunately, this year, we have needed to buy a hairdryer at both of these times and the shelves have been wiped out. Oh we found one, on sale at that, but it wasn't exactly what we had hoped for. I really don't care though, it will probably break within the next few month and it too will become history as well. These things used to last for years. Now it seems we hardly get six months out of them. That sounds really negative, but it is what is. We support the hairdryer industry with vigor!

Yeah, it consisted of a hair dryer LOL
(though reality shows that our back to school shopping really involves buying EVERYTHING our kids need including their books since we homeschool.)
