Hi there!

I got a new digital camera...edit that-my first digital camera about a month ago. The kids and I have been taking lots of random shots of various things, taking mini movies and well just plain having fun. For camera geeks, it was a Canon Powershot A430. I had a Canon as an older teenager, but it broke sometime in the late 80's. I have not really had a great camera since...until now.

Sunday night, as I drifted off to sleep, my mind remembered this video program my computer came with last year. I wondered what I could do with some of the mini movies we've been taking.

Monday morning, after getting started on our day, I opened up the program and started to play with it a bit. I saw I could use still photos to make a movie, using one of several templates the program came with.

This video you'll see below is of the Dentzel Carousel Art Project called "Dentzel's Around Town". They will be auctioned off in September during the Carousel Festival. I took these pictures two weeks ago. There might be more of them out there, but all we found that particular day was seven of them. You can read more about this art project HERE

I made about 7-8 movies that day...of various things between the carousel horses you'll see below, to some compilations of various pictures we've taken over the past few weeks, to some baby pictures I scanned in of my daughter.

This was a lot of fun. I cannot wait to dig in and make a few others. We burned the first several movies on DVD and then watched them later that night.
